Right now, the Bombers pitching still in flux, they can be competitive, but have no shot at a World Series run with the way their rotation stands right now. Let's not sugar coat it. We all know the Killer B's won't be in the pros this year, but definitely next year, and when that is realized, our rotation is still wide open in the back end. My feeling is there are no resources to turn to, besides Ol' Reliable, Andy Pettitte. With Pettitte, the Yankees pitching looks so much better.
Prediction. Andy will receive a call from his old buddy Derek Jeter on the eve of his 3,000th hit begging him to come back because the Bombers will stand a mediocre 43-40. After Derek makes this call, Andy comes back and the Yanks will go on an incredible hot streak with Andy pitching every 5th day, and they will finish 98- 64 and make the playoffs and win the World Series and all will be great in the Bronx again. Andy will be named World Series MVP.
This is more of a dream than anything but what are the chances of Andy coming back and helping us out? Many believe he's not done yet, that his wife is pushing him, that he's working out. That maybe, just maybe Ol' Reliable will give it one more shot in 2011. What do you think? Let me know.
