Luckily for the Yankee fans, the Yankees are a powerhouse and able to get to the playoffs without Lee, but know it would be easier in 2011 and beyond WITH Lee. They won't be stingy dropping millions on this guy. I'm fine with that. I want a stable rotation.
Secondly, We have Lee's best friend, CC Monster. Their wives love each other. That can help. Remember how long it took to sign CC back in the winter of 2008-2009 to sign with New York? He finally decided on the Yankees. Money talked. Cash was the master of that deal. CC didn't have any friends in New York and his wife reportedly was nervous about New York, but they did it, and we won a Championship because of it... and now, this winter hopefully alittle more cash and a little birdie (or big birdie) will get in Lee's ear to convince him that New York is where it's at. Here's the way it could go down:
CC: Dog. Yanks need you man
Lee: Yo, Kristen's up my ass to stay in Texas
CC: come to NY this weekend, the wives can go to the spa and we'll talk ball. Texas sucks anyway, too hot and shit
Lee: true true
CC: did that really happen with the fans?
Lee: yeah, we're over it. I do like pitching in ny.
CC: me too :)
Lee: is swish a total cut up
CC: yeah dog. He's hilarious
Lee: what's AJ like as a teammate
CC: remember that black eye?
Lee: yeah
CC: next question dog ;0
Lee: is Jeter the man?
CC: that dude is the biggest stud of them all.
Lee: he's coming back?
CC: Already in the works
Lee: ok, I'm in!!! Let my agent go through the motions, tell your wife to call Kristen, we'll nail this down by thanksgiving.
CC: you da man cliff
Lee: I know :)
(NOTE: THESE ARE FAKE TEXT EXCHANGES. THIS IS ME USING HUMOR AND MAKING A GUESS OF HOW THE PEOPLE INVOLVED WOULD SPEAK TO EACH OTHER VIA TEXT. THERE IS NOTHING REAL ABOUT THIS. IT IS DONE STRICTLY FOR LAUGHS. ENJOY)
Go get Lee Cash. Make us proud.
