Quick note. Yangervis Solarte, a real spark plug in the beginning of the season for the Yankees has been slumping lately, and because of it, the Yankees have decided to send him down to AAA.

People have asked me why they aren't unloading someone like Alfonso Soriano instead.  Look, I'd love to tell you that they should, but when it comes to big contracts, and money and a respect for veteran players, you just don't dump veterans.  Solarte is the future, or maybe that's what the Yankees are thinking.  They could improve him. He's still young.

Look for Solarte to work out some things in the minors and be back stronger than ever soon enough. This demotion is NOT a bad thing... it's a "work in progress" thing.

See you soon...
