THE BOYS OF SPRING: PART 1
This feature has been insanely popular for Bleeding Yankee Blue over the past 2 years. We're compiling photographs of the Yankees at Spring Training. It's something that really makes the readers happy and we'll try and do it as long as there are great pictures. Besides, if you live in the Northeast, you truly need a feeling of Spring! This snow is ridiculous
So here we go. This years series is called THE BOYS OF SPRING... enjoy this, share it and smile... the boys are back... Let's Go Yankees!
Here's a slim and strong CC Sabathia chatting it up with Larry Rothschild. Let me think... what is this conversation like:
Larry: "You know... I like you better chubby."
CC: "We're not dating Larry, we're playing ball."
Larry: "I know, but I worry about your strength."
CC: "This is getting weird. Move away, I have work to do."
How about this one.
This is Derek Jeter, our leader sprinting out to the field. There is an innocence to this picture. He's smiling like a kid going to a pick up game. This is what it's all about.
Here's Brian McCann warming up. I like this one. It's crazy to see him as a member of the Yankees. My oldest son has liked this guy for some time now and he's happy to have him in New York. He's a gamer and I'm looking forward to him performing. What do you think he's yelling here...
McCann: "Yo Cervelli... grab my bat and helmet for me! I'm gonna take some BP!"
I'm kidding...
Finally, Here is our bud David Robertson, the new closer for the New York Yankees. Many of us could not be happier. Plus, the guy is just happy to take the ball... no complaints. I tip my cap. Just remember ladies and gentlemen... he's not replacing Mariano... he's merely filling the hole and doing it his way. I can't wait.
We'll have another installment of THE BOYS OF SPRING again soon as more players show up to Tampa. This gets me all excited, it really does!
