Yet another episode in the Alex Rodriguez drama. His appeals for the 211 game suspension started yesterday. And of course it kicked off in grand fashion. With ARod facing off with his arch nemesis, Anthony Bosch.
Bosch took the stand yesterday to testify against ARod. Bosch was head of the Biogenesis clinic in Florida, and is said to have significant amount of evidence against ARod. Evidence that includes text messages, emails, and notes describing regimens. It is said that it will be enough to link ARod to the purchase of illegal substances. Originally, ARod denied having any connection to Bosch, but has since conceded through his attorney that they had a consulting relationship. You can read more about the hearings HERE.
ARod was also met outside of the MLB by a group of supporters. Hispanics Across America's president, Fernando Mateo, claims that ARod is being wrongfully targeted by the MLB, and Bud Selig (HERE). Look, as a Latina, I understand the support. Latinos are very proud people, and will stick together. But this case doesn't look like it will end well for ARod. I mean, I might be wrong, but right now it seems really obvious to me. Maybe he has been wrongfully targeted. Either way, ARod has a group of people who are willing to go to bat for him. So I hope, for the sake of the HAA, that he does not disappoint them.
BYB will get you more information on the ARod case as it comes out. Sit tight people, we've got your back.
