JUDGE EXTENDING HIS CAPTAINSHIP TO GARDY IS A CLASS ACT MOVE

You really can't beat Aaron Judge as a solid Yankee captain.  I was just reading about what Judge does when the Bleacher Creatures do roll call and it's unbelievable because everyone misses Brett Gardner. The Athletic writes:

"When it’s New York Yankees center fielder Aaron Judge’s turn to acknowledge the Bleacher Creatures during the roll call at Yankee Stadium, he turns toward them, bends his right knee and flexes with both his arms.

It’s an homage to Brett Gardner, one of his all-time favorite teammates who used the same salute. It’s also a reminder.

“I definitely don’t want people to forget him,” Judge said..."

It's true Cap. Gardner isn't dead and technically he's not retired, but Gardy's been out of sight for a while now.  His energy, his passion for the game for a while on the Yankees was unmatched and for Judge to tip his cap to one of the Yankees recent outfield greats, well, it's fantastic to see.

I miss Gardner and I don't really know where he's been. Hopefully he's happy, enjoying family and life, but I would love to see him at a Yankee event in the future.

Class act move, Cap.
