As we head into September, it's starting to get interesting. First off, the Yankees schedule looks like they can dominate. Who knows if this will really happen, I mean, it looks like that on paper. But things are starting to ignite again just like it did when they were red hot this spring.
One thing the Yankees did do was add a piece that could be important down the stretch and that is hopefully getting more stolen bases.
CBS Sports writes:
"The Yankees claimed Ellis off waivers from the Mariners...The speedy outfielder has slashed just .235/.315/.336 across his various stops in the minors this season but has stolen 51 bases in 54 attempts."Small piece of info here but important. If the Yankees can get this guy on base, this guy can score, most likely easier than anyone else on the team. I mean, have you seen Trent Grisham's running abilities? How about Stanton? I'm just saying, we need a speedster... this is a nice move.
Crossing my fingers for this move to make waves.
