Quick note. Now everyone makes mistakes, but sometimes when you work for a major publication it's important to double check your work.
Let me start at the beginning. The Yankees lineup came out for tonight's Yankee / Mets game. The lineup is hardly Murderer's Row. In fact, it's not even regular row. It's just a line up for like the Talladega Balloon Knots or something. It's not impressive. The fact that the Yankees are relying on two guys to do great things in Aaron Judge and Juan Soto in every single game gets old quickly, especially for us Yankee fans. The Yankee front office is killing us. Awful... and you know Aaron Boone made that lineup.
But that gets me back to my point... mistakes. Jose Canseco's name is Jose Canseco... not Jose Conseco, and the fact that the Sporting News took the time to wanna complain about Canseco for clicks and not even get the fucking guy's name right is a ridiculous error. The guy is an 80's baseball icon. The guy is in the news every day. Just google the guy.
Big error by the Sporting News and Kevin Hickey. Silly. By the way, Canseco and hundreds including myself commented on this weird lineup tonight.
Win or lose tonight, no Yankee fan wants to spend a fortune on tickets parking and meals to see this lineup ever. The Yankees need to do better.
