BONEHEAD BOONE IS SAYING STUPID STUFF AGAIN

Always the optimist and never a logical coach Aaron Boone isn't worried about Joey Gallo at all. Logic be damned and stats don't seem to matter at all when it comes to Gallo I guess.

I'm sure Gallo wants to prove that his second year in the Bronx won't be like his first, but he's got a long way to go. I have no faith in the guy to be a consistent and productive player but that doesn't mean I want to see him fail either. I am just tired of seeing the same failures over and over again. We are all calling it like we see it....except for Bonehead Boone.

I guess Aaron Boone liked what he saw from Gallo this weekend. Hell he was even encouraged, but I'm not. I guess Saturday's two hard hit line out and one walk was a good improvement for Boone. The fact that he didn't strikeout was a miracle but it doesn't show progress.

Speaking of progress, where is it? I don't call stranding five runners and 15 hitless appearances with a .154BA a lot to like. Spring may not count, but it's also not a confidence booster going into the regular season knowing you haven't found a good groove. But don't worry....because Boone isn't either, you can read HERE for yourself.

So don't worry, Boone is feeling good because "he’s in a pretty good spot right now" and we're all just imagining things I guess. We all know that Gallo is an "all or nothing" hitter and when he comes up with nothing it hurts and he has seasons filled with far too many nothings. The Yankees knew what they were getting when they traded for Gallo. Sure, he could lead the team with home runs and he may walk a lot but he's also a strikeout machine and that hasn't served us well.

I want to see Gallo succeed while he is here....but it looks like he's picked up right where he left off last season. He's Kallo the strikeout king and Boone is an idiot if he thinks he's magically a different hitter because of one game.

Boone is still a bonehead who says stupid things and Gallo is still a strikeout king. But don't worry....everything's okay.
