JUDGE SAYS IT'S NOT OVER YET

Source: Newsday

Aaron Judge is one of the best players in the game. Not just from a performance standpoint but from a leadership perspective. He's transparent, he's articulate in his comments and he stays positive despite the September skid and sketchy win/loss record. Aaron Judge is fueling one the biggest comebacks or rather potential comebacks. Judge says it's not over yet and you know what I kinda believe him.

"You’ve got to enjoy the ride,” Judge said. “When you’re on a roller coaster, you’ve got to enjoy it. This is the fun part of the year, so just keep riding it -- and ride it through the playoffs," reported MLB.com. Judge has been carrying this team on his back, clobbering home runs and keeping his team on their feet, both physically and mentally.

"New York's de facto captain reminded those in pinstripes that despite their recent free fall, this group has what it takes to turn their season around down the stretch. All they need to do, Judge said, was have fun and get back to playing their ball," reported SI.com.

The Yankees appropriately tweeted after the September 11th comeback win against the Mets, "In Judge We Trust." And maybe Judge is on to something. Tug McGraw told his 1969 Mets that they had to believe. Trust is important when it comes to enabling your guys to just do their job. We can all agree that trust has been difficult when it comes to some players who I will not call out here because I am trying to take a page of out Judge's book of positivity. Yet, Judge did not let us down this season. He has stayed healthy. He has appeared in 130 games this season and he has 34 home runs and counting. Judge has given us every reason to trust this season and if he says they are not done yet, I believe him.

The Yankees have two more in Baltimore before heading back to the Stadium to play three against Cleveland followed by three more against Texas before heading to Boston. There is still a lot of baseball left and quite frankly anything can happen. The Yankees are currently holding the second Wild Card spot, which is not where we hoped to be on the backside of the 13-game streak in August but it is the post season where things get wiped clean. If Judge stays hot and keeps his team hot, he could be right. It's not over yet and maybe that yet is a long time coming.

  1. I see how we beat up the O's the last 9 games of the season will determine if this team is worthy of Yankke bravging rights.
First though look at what happen we scored 5 runs then the offense went quiet for 5 innings, it is like they let up on the gas pedal.
We need to poor it on and learn not to let up.
There's made an error but to me Gio should had gotten one also because the ball was catchable. For some reason Gio has gotten a pass this season on his defense. I know he is better than Andujar and Odor but he has made his share of costly mistakes.
So what Gallo has 4 home runs in last ten games in last 15 games he has a 50% k rate and still hitting less than .175. If we're going to ride this roller coaster we better get more consistent at producing because Boston I am su4 will start Evoldi against us or the Jays will start Ryu we don't score a lot of runs against those pitchers and unless we tighten our bullpen we might be in trouble on a 1/game playoff.
