There's a lot of Yankee uncertainty out there, but a lot of hate out there too. I can't stand Twitter. What an awful place.
Look, let's not forget Yankee fans... we did better than expected this season. The problem... and I'll say it again, is that in a long season, our pitching wasn't as exposed. But when it came to a shorter, must-win series, there were holes and flaws. It really doesn't matter that our pitching did better than people think in this year's playoffs... we didn't win and so, it was a failed playoff and a failed season.
Bottom line. We do need another starter. We do need to think about re-signing Brett Gardner. I would love to lock in Aroldis Chapman for a few more years. We do need to think about a lot of stuff. But here's what I hate... uncertainty fed to us by the media.
If you look at Sportspyder these days... it almost seems chaotic... and I love reading all those guys. But come on man, it's a few days after the World Series. The winter meetings aren't happening yet... let's chill.
Let's give it a few more days. Sure, Bleeding Yankee Blue is here. We are concerned about our team, but the last thing Yankee brass is doing today is worrying and so, we're not either.
Chill folks. When there is actual Yankee news... we will bring it.
