How do you not love this kid? I mean sure, there were plenty of people that were wondering why the Yankees signed this guy to a 2 year deal. But they didn't see what Yankee brass saw. The dude's on fire and his skill in hitting is unbelievable. Last night he did it again with a walk-off.
The New York Post has this:
"The Yankees were hitless in 10 at-bats with runners in scoring position Tuesday when DJ LeMahieu came to the plate with the score tied in the bottom of the ninth and Cameron Maybin on second base.
They couldn’t have asked for a better option, because LeMahieu has been deadly in those types of situations this season and he came through again with the game-winning hit in the Yankees’ 5-4 comeback win over the Mariners in The Bronx.
'DJ does what DJ does,’ manager Aaron Boone said of the second baseman, who is hitting an incredible .500 (14-for-28) with runners in scoring position this year and now has 16 RBIs in those spots."
Boone should be buying DJ a big steak dinner because about a month ago things were not looking so good for Boone. But look, it's not just LeMahieu… it's all these Yankees. Winning and doing great things in this game has gotten contagious in the Bronx. Voit is an animal, Gio… an animal...Estrada... animal.

Even guys like Cameron Maybin are contributing... and not only that, he LOVES being a New York Yankees. You have to appreciate and admire that!
Get excited about this Yankee team. They are young, but they are hungry. They are stepping up when the stars are forced to sit down with injury. Applaud what they have done, it's incredible.
