ELLSBURY HAS FOOLED US ALL

Not a lot to write here other than I am incredibly disappointed in the Yankees for signing Jacoby Ellsbury, and I am unbelievably annoyed that this dude can't stay healthy.

I actually feel as though the Yankees need to cut bait.  It's really pathetic now.

The New York Post writes:

"Spring training has barely begun, and Jacoby Ellsbury is already hurt. The injury-prone outfielder is out with plantar fasciitis and won’t report to Yankees camp until next month, Aaron Boone said at his spring-training opening press conference at Steinbrenner Field on Wednesday.

'Obviously, he had hip surgery late in the year and we expected him to be here as an active player from the start [of spring training], but just some issues he’s had with his plantar fascia kind of crept up as he went through his rehab this winter. It slowed him a little bit.'”

Do you think Ellsbury milking that contract or so you think this is legit? I think it's BS, that's what I think.

Anyway... Jacoby is out...again.  I'm actually fine with it. But the next step is to blindfold him, tie him up, and drop him off on a curb somewhere in the country and just move on.  I'm over this dude. Seriously.

  1. Hal and Brian had dreams that with Ellsbury 2 years removed from 31 home runs with the LF porch he would find that porch sweet except though Ells can hit you 15 home runs he is not a dead pull hitter and they either failed to convert this theory to him or he just couldn't and scrapped it.Then when he plays and healthy he can do some good to great things but now I am beginning to suspect some Red Sox COLLUSION as tricking the Yankees in to signing him play a 1-2 seasons healthy then dog it and act injured tying up millions so as to not to afford another top FA ( see Harper or Machado)and collect money under the table from the Red Sox.
I actually like Ellsbury as a person but you made your millions retire free up that money and help your team.

  2. I assume the Yanks are collecting insurance money (?) while he is still disabled, so that they save by keeping him on the payroll rather than dumping him and losing the payments. He's worth more net of insurance, if disabled (sorry- INJURED
