4 STRAIGHT FOR THE YANKS

Don't look now, but even though there are injuries in the Bronx, the Yankees are rolling.

I hate recaps, but I'd be a fool to not report on the Yankees recent winning streak... it's 4 in a row.

Today it was a big day for Aaron Hicks and Luis Severino. FOX Sports writes:

"Hicks homered twice, including a go-ahead, two-run drive in the seventh inning, and the New York Yankees beat the Tampa Bay Rays 3-2 Thursday night to move above .500 for the first time this season.

Luis Severino (1-0) struck out a career-high 11 in seven innings, including four of his last five batters. The Yankees completed a three-game sweep and won their fourth in a row following a 1-4 start."

Look, the bottom line is this; Sometimes teams start slow, and then they start to see what works and maybe doesn't work, or when guys get hurt, other guys step it up to help a team win.  That's clearly what's happening here.  Good for Aaron Hicks. Great for the kid, Sevy.

Final today:  Yankees 3 - Rays 2
