GARDY TO STAY A YANKEE... FOR NOW

Brett Gardner appears to have dodged the trade bullet.  A small nugget, but an important one if you're a Gardy fan.  Right now... there appears to be nothing going on for the Yankees and their possible trade of Brett Gardner.

"Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said on Tuesday that he does not anticipate any moves involving a position player before Opening Day.

'I don't have anything active going on Brett right now,' Cashman said. 'I don't see anything happening trade-wise the rest of the way, and I have no live talks on any of my everyday position players, whether it's [Chase] Headley or Gardner. Nothing's active at all.'"

Now look, that means a few things, either the market has cooled, or Brett Gardner isn't that attractive to many teams.  Whatever it is, it's clear that Brett will be hanging around for a bit.

We will see what's in his future. As you know, the trade deadline will certainly bring up Gardy's name again.
