JETER'S #2 TO BE RETIRED ON MOTHER'S DAY

Great news for Derek Jeter and for Yankee fans everywhere.  Derek Jeter's number will officially be retired at an event at Yankee Stadium.  When you ask? May 14, 2017.

The New York Daily News has the story:

"It’s official: No other Yankee will ever don a No. 2 uniform.  The team announced Tuesday morning that it will retire Derek Jeter’s number and unveil his Monument Park plaque on Mother's Day, May 14."
