Well... that escalated quickly.
We were all waiting on Ben Zobrist. We were wondering... would he sign with the Mets or the Cubs? If he signed with the Mets, the Yankees most likely would not have made this deal the nail down Starlin Castro and may have gone in another direction. But Zobrist chose the Cubs tonight... and moments later, the Yankees traded for Castro.
Told that Castro to #Yankees has been agreed upon, but not finalized. Still medical review, etc. #Cubs

Joel Sherman has tweeted this and has been all over it. Adam Warren was flipped to Chicago as well as BYB friend Brendan Ryan. We'll let you know when everything is final.
