CALL IT A DRAW!
The bad news is the Yankees lost. The good news is the Blue Jays lost. What does it all mean? Well, it means there's no movement, a draw if you will. We'll try again tomorrow.
2 big homers tonight, but the Tampa Bay Rays scored more. That's really all you need to know. I mean yes, Adam Warren started, went 4 innings, gave up 6 hits and 2 runs, and yes, the other pen guys gave up 4 combined on there own, but the reality is, at this point in the season, if no one's hitting it out like Slade Heathcott did last night, you only wanna know that the Yanks won or lost at this point. Plus, you're scoreboard watching. Am I right?
Anyway, as far as hitting tonight, ARod cranked out a solo shot in the first inning. Then, in the 4th, it was Greg Bird hitting out a 2 run shot.
Those are the Yankees 3. The Rays however beat them. We left 8 men on base. Yup... I'm deflated... what can I say? Between the Yanks and Blue Jays at least, we call it a draw tonight.
Oh yeah, I can say this; The Mets lost a game tonight. That outta shut up those Mets fans for a night. Notice there are thousands of Mets fans these days? Geez.
Final: Rays 6 - Yankees 3
