BAD NEWS FOR EOVALDI & YANKEE FANS EVERYWHERE

Masahiro Tanaka is out with a hamstring strain. You know about that because you read TANAKA KNOCKED OUT. Now Nathan Eovaldi just got some bad news, and it doesn't just affect him and the Yankees. It affects us fans too. Wonderful.

Look, anytime Dr. Ahmad is mentioned, you gotta worry, and that's what's now happened with Eovaldi.

According to NJ.com:

"Suddenly, Nathan Eovaldi's playoff return date is in peril. The Yankees starting pitcher still feels some soreness in his right elbow, which is suffering from inflammation. The Yankees shut him down two weeks ago, hoping the soreness would clear up. But, instead, they're going to wait another week before letting him attempt to throw, manager Brian Cashman said.

Eovaldi saw Yankees physician Dr. Christopher Ahmad Saturday."

With that meeting, the obvious plan was Nate would be cleared to start throwing today.  That did not happen. In fact,  now you gotta wonder if the dude will even be available for the playoffs.

And again, tack on the Tanaka news, and you need to just assume that the Yankees will baby him until the playoffs start, resting him until then.

Man of man, there is always something, huh? Stay tuned on this stuff on Eovaldi. This stuff makes me nervous, especially being so close to the end of the season and a shot for us to get in.
