This just broke just a few short minutes ago:
Nick Noonan was just reinstated from the Triple-A disabled list and immediately released. Was Scranton/WB's regular shortstop out of ST.

Way to go LoHud and Chad Jennings. Yup, Nick Noonan was released from his contract. Remember when we signed Nick Noonan? He came over after he was with the San Francisco Giants. While with Scranton WIlkes/Barre, Noonan's numbers looked like this:
.262 BA / .308 OBP / 1 HR / 26 RBI / 64 H / 24 R
Obviously with Rob Refsnyder moving to Triple A, there is much speculation that there was just no room on the roster. While Noonan plays short, he also plays 2B and I don't know the conversations that take place at this level, I'm being honest here. Maybe it was a situation where they asked Noonan to move, maybe he did want to, or maybe the Yanks just did what they wanted to. Obviously more will come out about this soon enough.
Bottom line, from everything I heard, Noonan was a solid teammate and did the job.
That's all I got ladies and gentlemen. Noonan is no more.
