Masahiro Tanaka could be on the way back. Shocker.
According to Newsday: "Masahiro Tanaka (wrist, forearm) made 50 throws on flat ground from 90
feet with no problems. He likely will throw again Monday, but there's no
timetable for beginning a rehab assignment.
'He's reacted well to
everything so far, so that's good,' pitching coach Larry Rothschild
said."
So what does it all mean? Well, it's more of the same. I believe that the Yankees are being super cautious with this guy, hoping he won't need surgery, but God knows, it could happen. Look, surgery sucks and it's the last possible option and it's smart for the Yanks to be doing what they're doing... it's just crazy to me that a guy like Tanaka, almost always healthy in Japan, comes to New York and suddenty, there are issues.
Anyway, just wanted to keep you in the loop. Carry on.
