ARCHER DIGS DEEP & THROWS YANKS OFF

The Yankees scored 2 runs in the first inning. It was clear they were on their way to another run.  Then... silence.  It was clear Chris Archer was shaken and whether or not he would recover over the next several innings would be interesting.  But he did though.  He dug deep, settled in and shut the Yankees down.

Meanwhile Nathan Eovaldi tried to battle, and did well for himself, but in the 7th, the Rays broke through and that my friends, was the difference.  Eovaldi pitched 7.1 innings, gave up 4 runs off 6 hits. He walked 2 and struck out 6.

The Yankees run scoring went like this:

In the first, Brian McCann singled in 1 run.  Then, a few batters later, Carlos Beltran singled in another.
That was it.

Archer figured it out and shut us down.  Hey, tip your cap, I didn't see that one coming.

Final: Rays 4 - Yankees 2

We win today.
