FRENEMIES

I am absolutely filled with an overwhelming feeling of disgust when I hear things like “Haters gonna hate”, “Obvi” or “We’re totes FRENEMIES”. When, and more importantly, how did this awful Kardashian lingo enter mainstream language? It's terrible. What is a hater? No, I know what you think a hater is, but really... a hater? Get lost.

Obvi? Saying obviously takes too long? Where do you have to be? My guess is if you can’t say words in their entirety, then you aren’t late for school. And Frenemy…so you’re truly enemies, but act as if you are friends when around each other? Like Taylor Swift and Katy Perry? By the way... I take Perry in that fight. She just seems…tougher.

Although I do not understand how this type of speaking is now accepted in society, I do see that the Yankee Universe has it’s own "Frenemy" situation happening. It looks like a drama filled night straight out of the Kappa Kappa Gamma house. And although I will NEVER use the word in conversation, I now understand what it is to be frenemies…it's the New York Yankees and Alex Rodriguez.

We really don’t know what to expect out of ARod this year. I am guessing he will do very little to help and more to hurt the club, but time will tell. What I can tell you is this little pre-camp meeting they had, was an absolute waste of time. The Yanks don’t like Al and Al doesn’t like the Yanks.  It is written on their faces. You can feel the anger and animosity the two sides hold toward the other.  They may do frenemy type things like saying, “We know Alex will be in great shape and prepared to help this team.” But we know they mean, “If we could drop ARod off the GW, we would.”

Why did we need that meeting? Do we really think it was a constructive summit?

Lindsey Lohan and Paris Hilton may have been at the same club last night. They may have been photographed leaving around the same time, but that doesn’t mean they're pals.  And more to the point, WHO CARES!

This whole thing is the worst. Can we get rid of ARod please? It will save the Yankees and the fans headaches and give the media one less reason to put Brian Cashman on the TV screen.  I for one am “so over” this. I mean, like, it is so totes obvi that they are frenemies.  If they keep this up, the haters will be hatin’ like they showed up wearing the same dress at the Alpha Pi formal.

No more meetings. No more hashing out feelings. No more drama. Leave that garbage on the pages of US Weekly and People magazine... Let's just PLAY BALL!

** Just because I can’t stand Taylor Swift…here’s her frenemy “Roaring” for ARod and Cash. **
