CERVELLI TRADED TO PIRATES!

Big news out of Yankeeland.  Francisco Cervelli was just traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates!

According to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports.com, this just happened and writers are now scrambling for details.

According to Inside Pittsburgh Sports, The Yankees got pitcher Justin Wilson in return.

Wilson's a lefty with 3 years under his belt.  He's 27 with a 2.99 ERA in in 136 games in his career.

Maybe we'll even have a writer give an opinion on this trade soon...

I always liked the way Cervelli played the game.  He was passionate about the club, and loved being on the field. He may not have been the best player out there... but don't bother telling him that, because he was trying to be every single game.  I loved his passion, bottom line.
