GUESS WHO MADE THE 2014 ALL-ROOKIE TEAM...

Baseball America has named their All-Rookie Team. The last few years, some impressive names have graced the list.  Mike Trout, Yu Darvish, Craig Kimbrel, and Giancarlo Stanton, just to name a few. All impressive players. As a baseball fan, I can appreciate watching them all play the game. This year, the  list is heavy with AL Players. And two most notable names for Yankees fans?

Masahiro Tanaka and Dellin Betances.

It's not difficult to see why they made the list. Tanaka had an impressive 13-5 record with a 2.77 ERA. I'll admit, I raised a bit of an eyebrow when the Yankees dropped $155 million on the rookie. He definitely made me eat crow. His first half was incredible. Unfortunately, the injury bug hit him as well. Despite his starts in September, I think Tanaka can come back strong. It has been incredible to watch him this season.

As for Betances, well it is no secret that BYB loves him. To me, he is our next home town hero. With his 1.40 ERA, he was able to strike out 135 batter over 90 innings pitched. Seriously impressive. This year, he mostly played set-up man for David Robertson, but I can easily see him getting groomed to take over at the helm as closer. Of course, he'd have to get more save opportunities. But this kid simply oozes talent. I cannot wait to see what comes next from the Home Town Hero.

The rest of the list is incredible as well. Just wanted to give serious props to Tanaka and Betances. If You'd like to read the rest, head on over to Baseball America.
