MASAHIRO TANAKA IS HEALED... OR SOMETHING
Masahiro Tanaka is making progress in his bid to avoid Tommy John Surgery and continue to heal on the path of throwing bullpen sessions and strengthening his arm. The goal? He wants to come back and help out team this year. The guy is a miracle. His work ethic is incredible. Give the guy some credit. As Suzyn Waldman would say... Goodness Gracious!
Here's what we know, brought to us by the New York Daily News:
"Masahiro Tanaka is still hopeful he can contribute to his team’s playoff push. A positive sign emerged as Tanaka, recovering from a partially torn UCL, came through a 34-pitch bullpen session before Saturday’s game in which he threw all of his pitches. It was his first bullpen session since being sent back to New York from Toronto last week after experiencing arm fatigue.
Asked about how his arm felt compared to before his arm soreness, Tanaka said through his interpreter: 'I feel that it’s way stronger than it was, so way better.'"
Wow, the dude was strong before all this, it's good to hear that he feels stronger. Give Tanaka a tip of the cap.
I still worry about him, but he appears to be in good hands at this point. Good luck to Tanaka, I hope to see him soon. How about you?
