WHERE IN THE WORLD IS ALEX RODRIGUEZ?

It's been a little quiet on the Alex Rodriguez front. Maybe he is off, quietly serving his 162 game suspension, enjoying some time with his daughters, and meditating. Wait... what was that? Oh, you mean The Daily News has other ideas?

Well not really the Daily News, but this bit of news was released by them. It seems the Florida Grand Jury has subpoenaed the MLB for their drug testing records, and other documents, in connection to Anthony Bosch's now defunct Biogenesis clinic. This may very well bring A-Rod right back into your headlines.

"The grand jury is primarily interested in determining the source of the drugs Biogenesis founder Anthony Bosch supplied to Rodriguez and other players, one of the sources told The News. But other law-enforcement officials are trying to determine if Rodriguez, currently serving a season-long suspension for violating MLB's drug policy, attempted to obstruct investigation into the defunct Coral gables anti-aging clinic."

Now, there is no real evidence that ARod tried to obstruct the investigation by the MLB. Only a very small portion of his suspension was related to it. But further than that, isn't Major League Baseball a privately owned, and operated business? Didn't the MLB argue that ARod had no case in Grand Jury for that very reason? So the MLB is not law enforcement.

There is also that funny little detail the Grand Jury seems to be forgetting. The MLB paid off Anthony Bosch. They purchased stolen documents. Seems like a better idea to investigate the MLB, Rob Manfred, and Bud Selig. I mean, if I were investigating an individual, and a privately owned business stepped in, paid him off, provided him counsel, and purchased stolen documents? I would feel like that would infringe on the success of my investigation, and would like to know why they thought that was a good idea.

The bottom line is, if ARod is being investigated, so should the MLB.
