Minor roster move for the Yankees involving Brett Marshall. Not so minor for Carlos Beltran. Marshall was designated for assignment to make room for Beltran on the roster.
LoHud writes, "The Yankees have officially announced their three-year deal with Carlos Beltran. To make room on the 40-man roster, pitcher Brett Marshall was designated for assignment"
Marshall was in the minors for the majority of last season for the Yankees pitching 3 games on the major league level.
Carlos Beltran will be introduced as a Yankee tomorrow at 11am. Pretty exciting to see the guy finally in pinstripes. I'm looking forward to it.
