Just wanted to let you know this. It's nothing serious thank God. Ichiro Suzuki was involved in a car crash Saturday leaving Steinbrenner Field. He is OK, but as Mark Feinsand of the New York Daily News said in his piece HERE, "His car wasn't so fortunate."
Feinsand goes on the say: "Ichiro was driving his Land Rover on Dale Mabry Highway near Kennedy Boulevard in Tampa, less three miles from the ballpark. According to Tampa Police, a woman cut him off as she tried to make a left turn.
Ichiro’s car struck the woman’s vehicle, which in turn hit a third car. None of the parties suffered any injuries, though Ichiro’s car was towed from the scene.
'He did nothing wrong,' Lt. Ronald McMullen said. 'The woman was given a citation for cutting him off.'”
Accidents suck and my guess is, and this is only me speculating... Ichiro may take the day off today. No doubt he'll have some soreness today. Why force him to play an exhibition game...they should just give him the day off and let him chill. No doubt that woman who received the citation did NOT get an autograph.
