JETER HAS SURGERY... AND RECOVERY BEGINS

Just wanted to tell you all that Derek Jeter did in fact have surgery today and now he will begin what is expected to be a 4 to 5 month recovery. That word comes from the New York Yankees themselves:

Everyone was anxiously awaiting word on this, even though we assumed everything would be cool with our Captain.  If he says anything, we'll bring it to you...promise.

How can you not love the Captain? Thinking about this season and how he just kept grinding it out even though he was hurt, he's just a gamer... you gotta love it.  I will never forget when his bone bruise was revealed on September 12th and he just kept blowing it off to reporters...
