GARDNER TO HAVE ANOTHER MRI; RETURN UNKNOWN
So Marc Craig of the New Jersey Star-Ledger just posted the following:
Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner has suffered a setback that will delay his return to the Bronx. Gardner experienced pain and swelling in his right elbow after last night's minor league rehab game with Triple-A Scranton, prompting the Yankees to send him for an MRI exam to determine why the issues have returned.
That certainly is not the news Yankee fans wanted to hear. Gardner was set to return to the Yankees as early as this evening but that will definitely not be the case now. Casey will have a follow up piece tonight or tomorrow morning on what this setback could mean for the Yanks.
