YANKEES VS. TWINS... WHO WON? WE KNOW

Today the Yankees played a split squad. It's always weird when that happens. We'll have brief recaps of both games, right now though, I'm bringing you the Yankees vs. Twins recap. The Yankees also played the Philadelphia Phillies so we'll have that recap later...look for it.

The Twins won today, 5-1. Phil Hughes looked good today during his second outing of the spring, which gives me a sigh of relief. He pitched 3 scoreless innings, which is a big deal. He gave up 1 hit, stuck out 1. Nick Blackburn the Twins starter also pitched 3 innings without giving up a run. The Twins had 3 home runs today in their win. Full breakdown is HERE.Another highlight would have to be from Francisco Cervelli who had 3 hits today and knocked in the Yankees only run of the game.

Also today Joe Girardi said that only CC Sabathia and Hiroki Kuroda are "shoo-ins" for the starting rotation. That comes from Andrew Marchand of ESPN HERE.So that's all I have from the game in Fort Myers today. The Yankees, Phillies recap will be coming soon. Look for it here at Bleeding Yankee Blue.
