YANKEE RUMORS & BYB: PART 15

Carlos Beltran: Brian Cashman met with Beltran's agent over the weekend. I have nothing for you only to report similarly to what ESPN reported, that Beltran's agent is Dan Lozano also represents Albert Pujols. Read HERE. Look, I am not so sure Cashman would be talking to Lozano about Pujols. Why? Because Pujols is looking for a pay day and it is highly unlikely that the Yankees will sign Pujols to some incredible deal. The Yankee can however afford Carlos Beltran, and need a 4th outfielder and I will bet that he was discussed for sure. When something new develops on the Beltran front, I'll bring it to you, for now, nothing more.
CJ Wilson: Bob Garber, Wilson's agent had asked to meet with the Yankees further to discuss his client possibly in pinstripes. The Yankees have not responded. Heyman tweeted that HERE. I said earlier this month the Yankees will hesitate with Wilson, possibly because they are waiting to see if Yu Darvish will post and possibly waiting to see what happens with Cuban Defector Yoennis Cespedes. The longer they can stall, the better.
David Ortiz: Ortiz is still looking for a job and the Orioles just met with his agent to talk numbers and, according to Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe, the Orioles are not too interested in signing a high priced DH. Read HERE. As that price comes down, would the Yankees sign him to hit the ball over the right field fence? That is a good question...
