- 2011: (as of 9/26)- 8 wins, 4.10 ERA, 159 innings, 132 K's
No one, and I mean no one saw this one coming. This has to be the biggest individual surprise of the baseball season. There was a reason why I didn't include him in my projections. Not only because he didn't break camp as a starting pitcher, but I thought he'd collapse and get cut by mid-season. But incredibly, Colon has done the opposite of that. But, he could be running on an empty tank. Since the All Star Break he's gone 2-6 with a 5.09 ERA after starting 6-4 with a 3.20 ERA. Also, in the month of September he's gone 0-1 with a 6.64 ERA in four starts while failing to get through five innings in his last two starts. He could end up in the bullpen by the postseason.
