WHY CC MONSTER KEEPS ON ROLLING

(Photo: AP)
CC is the real deal. How many pieces do I start like that when CC pitches? How many? 10, 15? I love this guy, he's such an ace and he's about to hit another 20 win season the way he's rolling right now. 11 strikeouts tonight over 7 innings He allowed only 5 hits and 0 runs. All this talk about CC opting out is starting to worry me...I hope this guys stays with us for a long long time. The guy's got 12 wins so far this year. I love it.(Photo: NY Times)
The Captain had 2 hits tonight and now he is only 4 hits away from 3000. See, yesterday was a warm up day. I told you. Jeet needed to get into a groove. Clearly he did because 2 hits tonight means 2 hits tomorrow, as least in my mind it does. I just mean he's back, that's all and the hits will come.

Curtis Granderson hit 2 more home runs tonight. You know what that means right? He now has 25 and Mark Teixeira also has 25. The Home run race I've been longing for is still alive and well in my mind. I don't like to brag, but can anyone at all give me credit for predicting the home run hot streak Granderson has started up again? I said this in WHY THE YANKEES ARE COMING:

"It’s slowed down a bit lately, but make no mistake, players feed off each other. Just like Maris and Mantle did, I have no doubt that the hit machine between Granderson and Teixeira will begin again. Tex starting hitting them again, and look for Grandy to start up soon. How do I know? I don’t, it’s just a gut thing."

Come on!! Give me props! Anyway, I'm just happy the Yankees are winning again and yes, I'm thrilled the homers are back between Tex and the Gentleman, Curtis Granderson. Grandy's having an MVP season and I'm so happy for him.

Over all tonight, great hitting and great pitching and that's all you need to win baseball games. Read the full game notes HERE.

Final Score: Yankees 9 - Indians 2. Tomorrow night, we win the series. Why? Because Phil Hughes is back. Many worry, but I have confidence and while he won't be lights out tomorrow, he will be over time.
