ON TO THE NEXT ONE...

(Photo: US Presswire)
The Yankees won tonight and now it's on the the next one. The biggest part of this win is that they need to continue winning to make a statement. Winning will prove they're contenders. Inconsistent wins just proves they're just another ball club. Winning streak guys....come on. Prove you're the real deal.(photo: AP)
A-Rod entered the game with a .171 average and thank God he had 2 home runs tonight. Man, where has he been? Hopefully this isn't a fluke for Alex and he'll continue to hit. We need him desperately, now, more than ever.

Posada was back in the lineup batting 7th. He was 2 for 3 with a single, a double and a run scored. Welcome back Jorge. Love you man. Do you, we're behind you.Link(Photo: AP)
David Robertson is such a gamer and we here at Bleeding Yankee Blue are totally behind this kid. Read WHY THERE ARE ISSUES WITH SORIANO and WHY ROBERTSON DESERVES MORE CREDIT. In both posts, we drool over this kid. Big strikeout tonight for Robertson to assist Nova and his fist pump just provides confidence, love it.

Ivan Nova allowed 1 run in 5 and 1/3 innings and I have to say, I didn't expect much from Nova after his last outing, but like I've said before, I like being wrong. Good for Nova.

Overall this win is major. We needed it to end this 6 game skid, because one thing's for sure, with this win, there needs to be more, because trust me, if we can lose 6 in a row once, what's to say we won't do it again. Ladies and Gentlemen, this moment is important to the Yankees because it's a potential turning point. Know it, learn it, live it.

Final Score tonight: Yankees 6 - Rays 2.
