There's been some speculation about the what would become of Rob Refsnyder. Casey wrote about the possibility of the Yankees calling him up to showcase him for a trade. Andrew Marchand wrote:
"If the Yankees do make a relatively big trade, Refsynder is the type of guy who may go."
The general consensus overall is that the Yankees have little to no interest in Refsynder as of late, other than the possibility to use him as trade bait. Right now, they are trying to conserve their prospects, but Refsynder is the kind of guy they seem content to part ways with.
But now Jack Curry tweeted that Refsynder will be called up and will join the Yankees on Saturday.
Hearing that Refsnyder will be recalled from AAA and join Yankees tomorrow.

Take that however you want it, but the truth is that the Yankees like Stephen Drew, and it's very unlikely that they will give the job to Refsynder. My money is on giving him some playing time, showcasing him a bit, and trading him for a bat. We'll have to wait and see, of course. He may surprise us, and be something big. I just don't think it will be in Yankees pinstripes.
