That headline will be followed by, "Masahiro Tanaka goes to dinner" and "Masahiro Tanaka goes to sleep." Look, this is Tanaka USA Tour 2014. Stuff's gonna get wacky as we, the information highway, bring you every little nugget about Tanaka's tour, hour by hour. Get used to it. He's doing the Chicago thing and in Los Angeles he had a physical. That is being reported by everyone, but we'll go with the Los Angeles Times who writes:
"It might be somewhat backward, but it makes sense that Japanese free-agent pitcher Masahiro Tanaka is in Los Angeles to have a medical exam.
Even though he is only 25, Tanaka already has thrown more innings (1,315) than any pitcher his age in the majors in the last 35 years since Frank Tanana... Though Tanaka is scheduled to be in Los Angeles for only a couple of days, there have been reports he is meeting with teams."
So what does it all mean? It means that Frank Tanana is psyched that the Los Angeles Times didn't forget about him. It also means that the Tanaka Tour is in full swing.
The Yankees can't mess this up. We'll let you know when the headline is, "Masahiro Tanaka meets with the Yankees."
