I mean, are you freaking kidding me?
What Alex Rodriguez did was allegedly use PEDs and is connected to the Biogenesis clinic. That's what we DO know. I refuse to go further than that until the evidence comes forward and I am NOT going keep reporting on this when every little detail about a receipt connecting him comes out. Sure, I'm a Yankee web site, but I also don't like accusing people of things before the info comes forward. It's not what we do here.
Bill Madden of the New York Daily News apparently like to though. In fact, he likes to equate ARod to a mobster and guy on trial for murder and I'm sorry, this is Bill Madden we're talking about. What the hell happened to him? The comparison screams, "Hey... look at me! I'm provocative!" Well, it's also stupid.
Read what Madden wrote, starting with the title: Yankees' Alex Rodriguez now the most wanted criminal in baseball history on the heels of Ryan Braun suspension.
"Whether he realizes it or not, A-Rod is the Whitey Bulger of baseball, the most wanted criminal in the game’s history."
Wow. Alex Rodriguez may have disgraced himself and maybe this great game, but he's not a mobster and not a killer. Sure, he has to explain himself if all this Biogenesis stuff comes out and it's true, but in this world of "media topping", equating Alex to Bulger? Come on. How about you ask the families who lost loved ones if Alex Rodriguez is really that bad sir, especially when comparing him to anyone who is on trial for murder, then come talk to me.
Time to turn in your journalism card, Mr. Madden with all due respect.
