Ty went to Spring Training just like every player who wants to work and succeed in baseball. He was ready to deliver and faced 3 batters this spring, striking out all three he faced. Then, something happened, right around March 19th, it was reported that he went down with an abdominal strain. LoHud reported: "Ty Hensley, pulled an abdominal muscle and will be out for a couple of weeks. Doesn't sound serious." read HERE.
Well, it turns out that something is going on with Ty. No it's not arm related and for that, we all can smile at BYB. We do know though that he is having surgery today to repair the ab strain so it doesn't continue. He's fine... in fact, he'll be better than fine. Here is that scoop for you exclusively to our BYB readers:
Ty Hensley is having surgery today. The surgery is not arm related and he will recover fine. But, with that surgery, know this; Ty is bummed but knows it needs to get done so he can get out there and do what he does best... be a leader on the mound and continue following his dream.

So, in your busy day today... take a moment, wish Ty well. Pray for him. This is a kid that has done so much already and all he wants to do is carry us all on his shoulders as he walks his journey through Yankeeland. Today is a pit stop and your encouragement, well wishes and smiles will make this kid feel like he can be back and better than ever after it's all said and done with this surgery.
