WHY 3 Cs LIFTED THE YANKS OVER THE PHILS

The 1st inning for the Yankees was hot…they scored 3 runs early against pitcher Vance Worley. After Brett Gardner doubled, the 3 C’s came into play…Francisco Cervelli singled, Robinson Cano doubled and Eric Chavez singled. 3-0 Yankees at that point. They’d go one to win the game 5-3.

The starter for the Yankees was Hiroki Kuroda. Kuroda pitched 5 2/3 innings today and only allowed 1 run and game up 6 hits.

Overall the Yankees look pretty good except of course for news coming out this morning about Joba Chamberlain getting hurt with a dislocated ankle. We will have commentary on that is another post, but for the record, this is more serious than many have been offering and I’ll explain why.

For now, the Yankees win 2 today in a split-squad and Yankeeland is happy…
