BYB BREAKING NEWS: YANKEES WIN RIGHTS TO HIROYUKI NAKAJIMA

According to SI's Jon Heyman the New York Yankees have won the negotiating rights for Japanese shortstop Hiroyuki Nakajima. Heyman tweeted the Yanks paid $2million for the rights. The Yankees now have 30 days to work out a deal with Nakajima, the 29-year-old who last season hit .297 for the Seibu Lions.

Obviously we all know the Yankee SS position is occupied by a player, you might have heard of him...Derek Jeter! But, should the Yankees land Nakajima he would definitely fit the role of utility infielder quite nicely.

Be sure to check back with BYB for all the latest Yankee news...
