RODON'S HURT? YUP... WE PRACTICALLY CALLED THAT

Read YANKEE MEDICAL SLACKERS ON NOTICE AFTER RIZZO'S "SUSPECTED" CONCUSSION REVEALED. I dare you.

In it are some fascinating nuggets about what you are starting to see on a much larger scale when it comes to injury and the New York Yankees. Too many Yankee players are hurt, and yesterday you had Brian Cashman trying to talk his way out of it.

In that BYB story above I suggested that a lot of our pitchers are hurt, and a few of them, namely Luis Severino and mildly Carlos Rodon who has struggled, have definite concerns.  of Sevy I wrote "Luis Severino. This poor guy's been battling injury for years on and off. Here's a red alert... He can't pitch to save his life right now. How about we get real doctors to check this guy out. Maybe he's ACTUALLY HURT."

And that's my biggest fear as a fan right now. Guys that are struggling and guys that can't hit their spots may be players that we should be alittle concerned about. Like in Rodon's case.  He's out there and he's never actually felt right, we all see it. No doubt he was overcompensating for something and then pow! Hamstring.

amNew York writes:

"Rodon is dealing with another health issue after leaving Sunday afternoon’s start in the third inning against the Houston Astros with what the team described as hamstring tightness.

He was examined at Yankee Stadium by Dr. David Trofa with additional tests coming over the next 24 hours."

And so, you have this guy out there and the last several starts he just doesn't look right to me. He's overthinking, he trying to get comfortable... obviously it doesn't help that Yankee fans are booing him... and he has hamstring tightness and has to come out.  What was he doing... was it something that existed before? What's the medical staff say? Why do they say nothing like every single time?

Yankee brass is scrambling.  They've made some pretty big mistakes this year all with our players.  The great Mike Lupica put this out yesterday. Cashman trying to fumble his way through the Rizzo situation:
I mean this is about it. This explains it perfectly. Lupica is right... everything these guys say is a circle. There is no truth.  If there was, we would know exactly what is going on with our players.  But we don't have a clear indication about what happened to Rizzo, I suspect Severino will be hurt soon... I'm predicting it. And Rodon? Well, it happened to him and is now most likely day to day.  Why? Why, why, why, why, why, why?

The Yankees are not transparent.  That front office is a spectacle right now. I picture a lot of yelling and screaming and panic and PR people asking what they should say to the press.  And it really goes back to how these players are being cared for.

I knew Rodon was out of his body when he was pitching the last few starts.  Something just felt off. He looked frustrated. He looked like things were just not working for him. Now, maybe it was the start of this hamstring strain or maybe it was something else.  I don't know, but we do know as fans is that there are too many injuries and no true answers from Yankee brass.

It's time to start actually being transparent, Cashman.  Talking in circles only means you're not speaking truth. We're all on to you.
