BOO BIRDS FOR AARON JUDGE MEAN SOMETHING!

But what do those boo birds mean, exactly? The boo birds aren't a new thing, especially not in New York. Hell, that is normal here and expected. Aaron Judge was the recipient of the boo birds on Monday night, but for why? Pick your answer.

It was hard to watch Monday's game. It was just another reminder of the Yankees frustrating 2021 season and well.... their recent history in general. It was the lackluster offense we are too used to seeing these days and also being dominated by an opposing pitcher. It's frustrating, and a reminder of this team's flaws really early into this season.

And Judge was quickly reminded that Yankee fans don't hold back and are quick to tell anyone how unsatisfied we are. But, were we unsatisfied with the team's overall performance against the Blue Jays....or Judge saying "no" to the Yankees seven-year $213 million contract extension? No matter what your answer is, Judge doesn't care, read more HERE.

"I've been hearing it since '16. It's nothing new," may be partially correct. He's heard it before....but if those boos are because he turned down the Yankees offer it is definitely something new. I've never walked in Judge's shoes before. It's not easy being the face of any franchise, let alone the New York Yankees. There are a lot of pressures that come with that and a lot of expectations so he wants to get paid for that. I get it....but he's never been booed in a contract year in a place he may never play again.

So even though Judge has heard plenty of "boos" in his day as a Yankee he's never heard them in this context. It's very premature for this, so that is new. Boos will always be heard in Yankee stadium, but game 4 of a young season? THAT is something Judge shouldn't want to get used to.
