When we last spoke about infielders, we told you all about a rumor. The Yankees were interested in
Josh Harrison of the Pittsburgh Pirates.

It was something that was discussed, as to also bring over pitcher
Gerrit Cole like a package deal. If you need more on that, please check out
YANKS NEED 1 PITCHER... AND AN INFIELDER APPARENTLY.
But now
Pinstripe Alley is suggesting maybe that infielder is a guy named Neil Walker. Something to think about. Check it out:
"Maybe the Yankees should look at Neil Walker as a possible alternative.

At the age of 32, Neil Walker is a free agent for the first time. He was an above-average bat during his days with the Pirates, averaging a .272/.338/.431 batting line over seven years while regularly hitting double digit home run totals. To make him even more attractive, Walker is a switch hitter, which will help the Yankees replace Headley and even out the lineup against right-handed pitching. "

Look... I'm fine seeing what would happen with
Tyler Wade,
Miguel Andujar and
Gleyber Torres. I find them all just about ready to burst onto the Yankee scene. And yes, the real test will be the Spring and whether or not the Yankees think they are ready. And that's why maybe a person like Harrison or Walker make sense. A temporary player until the youth are ready.
Whatever the case, I found it interesting. I thought I'd pass on.
Nice work Jason Cohen.
