The Yankees and Greg Holland were attached for a few moments this off-season, but there was never traction and he was never signed. Instead, he was signed by the Colorado Rockies.
Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports just tweeted this:
And there you have it. MLB Trade Rumors writes of Holland:Source: Greg Holland's deal with the Rockies is one year, $7M guaranteed. Non-closing incentives take it to $10M. Could get $14M as closer.— Jeff Passan (@JeffPassan) January 25, 2017
"The 31-year-old Holland missed all of the 2016 season as he recovered from Tommy John surgery that was performed late in the 2015 campaign. "
So the Rockies are rolling the dice... good luck with that.
