SUN OF A BITCH

No other way to describe it... 

Now's the time to win all games against our division rival, and while I never thought I'd say it... I'm saying it; the Blue Jays are the real deal.  They made the right moves at the trade deadline and they're moving forward.  The Yankees are still on top, but there is definitely concern as to if we can pull this off.  And I don't mean make the playoffs... I mean making it there in first place.  The Wild Card is the wild card... first place is just something more special.

First of all, let's call Luis Severino what he is... just terrific.  It really sucks when a team can't back their terrific pitcher. He went 6 innings giving up 5 hits and 3 runs.  He struck out 9.

The Yankees were down 3-0 when Jacoby Ellsbury would come to the plate, and hit a solo homer, and that would be it.  The Yankees had 4 hits all game... we left 3 on base. Not a good day at the plate for our team.

The only real blunder would be Carlos Beltran losing the ball in the sun... the guy's been amazing at the plate lately, but for some reason, he cannot field a ball to save his life... even without sun in his eyes.  This one hurt yesterday and it sucks, but you can't blame Beltran on the day.  The Yankee bats need to pick it up... and fast.
