The Yankees won again. Wow... we're coming around. Maybe.
Adam Warren took the hill for the Yanks and we all needed him to be on. In addition, the Yankee bats had to continue to perform like they did in that 14-1 victory on Monday. Could they do it? I was concerned they "blew their load", but we hoped as fans, it was the beginning of something great. It was.
Warren went 6.1, giving up just 1 run. The pen followed not allowing another run the entire game for the Royals. They really held them down!
Couple that with the Yankees timely hitting, and we were onto something... In the first, Mark Teixeira hit a 2 run home run to put us up 2-0. That's his 14th ladies and gentlemen.
We scored 3 more in the 5th when Mark Teixeira doubled hitting in Chris Young and Alex Rodriguez. After that, Chase Headley sacrificed home another run and there are your 5. The Royals scored their 1 run after that, but that was all we'd need and all we'd get. Yankees won... that's 2 in a row.
Final: Yankees 5 - Royals 1
