JARED BURTON IS NO LONGER A YANKEE

He kind of looks like Mike Witt... or Mike Witt's the long lost uncle of Jared Burton... or something.

Anyway, it was a good run. He's a good dude and no doubt he'll get another job soon.  Jared Burton has been released by the Yanks.

According to Hardball Talk:

"Burton, who signed a minor-league deal with the Yankees after the Twins declined his $3.6 million option, has been released.

Burton pitched decently in camp, but showed major signs of slowing down for Minnesota last season and at age 34 looks like a middle reliever rather than the setup-caliber arm he was in 2012-2013."

Yanks got a look and didn't have room for Burton. And so... he's gone.

We wish Jared well.

Oh yeah... and here's Mike Witt:

Close. Maybe. Yes? No? Oh, come on man.
