MOTHER NATURE & THE O's WON THIS ONE
The game was shortened because of a storm and I guess that's fine, except you usually want that to happen with the Yankees in the lead. But it didn't happen that way at all.
Chase Whitley went for New York and while the Yankees were able to score in the 1st, Whitley gave up 3 in the 5th... Damn you Chris Davis! Then Mother Nature inserted herself and after the 6th.... they never took the field again.
Whitley went 3.2 innings, gave up 5 hits and 3 runs. After that, David Huff came in, pitched 0.1 of an inning, gave up a walk and called it a day.
The Yankees had 4 hits and 1 run. That run was a Brett Gardner homer in the 1st. His 9th.
Nothing more to say except that we lost, and now the All-Star Break is here and let's hope to have alittle rest, alittle recharging of the batteries and hopefully we'll turn it around in the second half. That's all we can hope for as fans.
Final: Orioles 3 - Yankees 1
